Blog Name Change...

Well guys, I've decided to change the name of my blog.. Don't worry, I will most definitely keep posting about the same things. However, I'm going to make it more design oriented. Because I'm graduating college, I want my blog to not only be about my interests, but also my design, life, and travels after graduation. SO, farewell "For the Modern Pin Up Girl." I will be changing the name very soon.

Ciao everyone! Well, I finally found some time to go out and shop for a graduation dress. 37 days until my graduation, and only 19 school days left! WHEW! Excited, nervous, anxious! YES.

Boyfriend was a sweetheart and decided to take me shopping and buy my dress for me. He bought me this lovely little number from Bebe. Of course, I'm not 6 million feet tall, I'm only 5 feet, so it fits me much more modestly and the bottom of the dress hit's me right at the knee's... It'll be perfect for a late spring graduation. The perfect dress. :)

Countdown..

I have officially started the countdown until my graduation. I am SO READY to be done with school. C'mon May 13th! I'm currently working on WAY too many projects at once.. A 130,000 sq ft medical center, a horror movie museum animation, an office building, a nightclub/restaurant, and a 9 page essay on the arts and crafts movement. TOO MUCH. I'm just picturing that diploma in my hands and walking away with a Bachelors Degree. That's what's keeping me going! I really, really want this dress for graduation! However, I will probably go to the mall to find something I can actually try on before I buy. This is the dream dress though!

Design Work!

Hello, everyone! Well, I now have my design portfolio on two websites, so feel free to take a look and tell me what you think! I love getting feedback, good or bad, anything constructive. On the right side of my blog, you'll see two picture-links to my coroflot and my behance profiles. I'm almost finished uploading work to the sites, and my portfolio is almost complete, so give me a couple more weeks and everything will be up to date on the websites.

Also, I'm just learning how to do 'walkthroughs" in 3D animation programs.. I have learned many "3D Modeling" programs in the past, but now we are learning how to make our 3D Models realistic and animated. So, here is my first attempt! It's pretty beginner, and I had to teach myself how to use the editing program.. but hey, it's a start. I finally got it to upload to youtube. In another month, I'll have a full walkthrough of an exhibit done and I'll be sure to post that! Hopefully I will get a hang of these programs by then to have an extremely professional video walkthrough.

F.L. Wright's Home in Chicago!

My wonderful boyfriend decided to take me to Chicago for Valentines Day weekend. What a gem, I tell ya. We decided to make the main event a trip to Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio in Oak Park, IL, along with visiting his friends in Wicker Park. It was absolutely amazing! We are both in love with F.L. Wright's work, and life. The house was gorgeous to say the least. We stayed at The W Hotel in the city center, which was AMAZING! An interior designers heaven. The rest of our trip included site seeing in the city, The Bean, Millennium Park, The Chicago Theatre, The Art Institute, and TONS of cafe's and bar's. It was definitely an extremely fun weekend! Here are some awesome pics of the F.L. Wright house and our adventures :)

Hello lovely bloggers!

I sincerely apologize for the lack of posts since the new year! My life is crazy to say the least. I am now in my last semester of design school! I can't believe it's already mid-March.. 58 days left until my graduation and I couldn't be happier!

My life consists of going to school, doing homework, some sleep (if I'm lucky!) and hanging out with my wonderful boyfriend! Finally, I have found an amazing man. We have been inseparable since the very beginning of 2010. He has been by my side through so much in these short few months, and I hope it stays that way :)

Blogging needs to become a habit again, and I'm sure it will once the stress of school is over! I promise, more posts to come.. fashion, design, and my own work. I hope you are all doing amazing and are enjoying this wonderful new year of 2010! I sure am!

THE LOVE ME NOTS! I absolutely love them!

This band from Arizona has a 60's sound mixed with surf rock/garage. It's described as a fuzzy, farfisa-drenched spy rock, like it's 1963 again. Love it!
